Pussty – A Sweet, Affectionate Lap Cat Looking for Her Forever Home.

Pussty is a beautiful, gentle girl who offers the perfect balance of independence and loving companionship. This sweet middle-aged lady is wonderfully low-maintenance and content to entertain herself during the day, but she absolutely adores curling up on a warm lap for cuddles and snoozes when her favourite person is home.

She was deeply loved by her previous owner, who made the difficult decision to rehome her when they relocated across the country for a new career opportunity. Knowing the long journey would be stressful for Pussty, they chose to find her a loving new home here in Victoria instead.

Although shy and a little timid when she first arrives in a new environment, Pussty transforms beautifully once she feels safe and settled. She has become a true lap cat who looks forward to jumping onto the couch the moment you sit down, seeking warmth, gentle pets, and quiet affection. Her calm, sweet temperament makes her a joy to be around.

Despite her relaxed nature, Pussty still has plenty of playful energy. She gets frequent zoomies and loves racing through her cat tunnel, chasing wand toys, and pouncing on imaginary prey. These lively, entertaining moments add so much joy and laughter to her day.

Pussty is independent and easy-going. She’s happy to spend her days snoozing on her cat tower, watching the world from the window, or relaxing in her favourite spots while you’re at work. When you return home, she’ll happily come looking for attention and lap time. She gets along well with other cats and can live happily as an only cat or with feline companions.

Originally from a home with outdoor access, Pussty would love a new home with safe outdoor access if possible, though she has adapted wonderfully to comfortable indoor living.

She would be an ideal companion for a retiree, homebody, or anyone seeking a quiet, relaxed household. Pussty is the perfect low-maintenance girl — independent enough to enjoy her own space, yet incredibly loving and affectionate when she seeks you out.

About Us

Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.

Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.

Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.

As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.

All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.

Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
