About Kevin
Meet Kevin!
At just under 2 years old, this stunning boy is amped up & ready to find his Forever Home.
The Red Cattle Dog, also known as the Red Heeler, is a highly intelligent and energetic breed originally developed for herding cattle in Australia.
Known for their loyalty and intelligence, Red Heelers form strong bonds with their owners and can be protective. They are energetic and require regular exercise and mental stimulation to stay happy.
Kevin is a vibrant & energetic guy who has an enthusiasm for life & a love of the great outdoors. He is happiest when out exploring & regularly heads off-site to go for a walk in the bush.
Kevin can get quite excited with meeting other dogs, he has made a few canine friends at the shelter, but slow, careful introductions are best. He's not really a Dog Park kind of guy. He may be able to co-habit with another dog & we're more than happy to arrange a meet & greet if you already share your life with a 4-legged friend.
This stunning boy needs someone who has an understanding of the breed & their needs. He is bright, bouncy, playful & busy. We are seeking an active home for him, not necessarily acreage (although that would be a bonus!) but someone who provides daily exercise along with plenty of mental enrichment & stimulation.
Kevin loves toys! Be sure to have a rotating collection at the ready for when it's time to play fetch or tug!
He already has some basic training & loves the opportunity to learn new things. His eyes light up when he gets the chance to use his brilliant brain. Working breeds love to problem solve & thrive when given challenges. The more time, effort & training you put into your working breed, the better your bond will be with them along with the fantastic feeling of being a really great team!
