Brandy comes with a glowing resume from a loving family, who want very much to see him in another loving and safe environment.

This sweet-natured boy thrives on attention. He just loves people and shows his affection by wanting to be up close physically.

His photos speak for him. A beautiful black and white coat, soft tender eyes and a loving heart that shines through. Overall, he is a handsome boy.

Intelligent, quick to learn and keen to please, Brandy has a good grasp of the following COMMANDS:

1. Responds to ‘stop’ cue of putting hand out
2. Sits on command (say ‘sit’)
3. Goes to pee and/or poo when cued ‘Go Pee’
4. Sits before he gets his meal and commences eating with cue ‘Go’
5. Say ‘paw’ for a handshake (he does this to get a treat), and
6. Responds to ‘down’ to lie down
7. Responds to ‘heel’ when walking on leash
8. Responds to ‘go’ from sitting and/or walking beside you
9. Responds to ‘go to your bed’ when inside the house

Brandy is dog-friendly and is fine with the one cat he knows. He is likely to avoid a cat he doesn't know, and would probably get used to it with ongoing exposure.

Typical of his breed mix, he loves his ball but is not keen to share his precious possession with other dogs - and, frankly, who can blame him?

He enjoys car rides and walks well on a leash. He's accustomed to a halter lead with a nose strap.

Brandy is a very well-mannered boy. He has never attempted to jump a fence. He is house-trained and, although not crate-trained, he enjoys having a bed of his own.

He is an inside-outside dog, but is happy to sleep in a dog bed on the deck in summer.

Brandy is great with older kids who have good dog manners. He is not suited to toddlers and young children - too noisy, space-invading and unpredictable for his comfort.

An ideal home for Brandy would see him living with a family that eagerly included him in their daily lives and are able to give him the abundant physical and mental stimulation he needs.

Provide Brandy with companionship and love and he will reward you hugely with love and loyalty.
