Hi, I’m Panda, a 2 year old Maltese who’s still learning about the world.

I may not have had much social experience early in life, so I can be a bit shy and unsure around people at first. But beneath my timid exterior is a sweet spirit who’s just waiting for the right person to help her come out of her shell. I haven’t been walked on a lead before, so the outside world feels new and a little overwhelming. But with patience, consistency, and lots of gentle encouragement, I’m eager to build confidence at my own pace. I do best in a calm, predictable environment with someone who understands that progress comes in small steps – and celebrates every one of them. While I may not be your typical lap dog just yet, I do enjoy quiet time near my person once I feel safe. I find comfort in routine and am looking for a kind, experienced adopter who can offer structure, reassurance, and a secure home where I can truly thrive.

I’d love a home where someone is around for part of the day and where things aren’t too loud or chaotic. Because I’m still working on building trust, kids 15+ would be best for me. I will need to be the only dog in the home for now while I build my confidence, once I have settled we can work on slow introductions to known social dogs. A must for me: access to a safe outdoor area where I can explore at my own pace without pressure, since I’m not yet comfortable on a leash. If you have a soft spot for the quiet ones, the late bloomers, the dogs who just need a little extra love – I might be the perfect match for you. With time, trust, and a gentle hand, I’ll show you the loyal, loving girl I’m meant to be.
