Meet Billy, a dog who was returned after an adoption due to an incident involving food guarding. Since arriving back at the shelter, we’ve seen no signs of that behavior, but we’ve remained mindful of it. Billy enjoys the company of other dogs, particularly calmer females or dogs who aren’t too quick or in his face. However, he’d prefer to live on his own, as that’s what he’s used to. Though Billy is a younger dog, he’s more of a laid-back, peaceful soul who prefers a calm environment where he can relax and be cared for. His ideal home will understand his past and be respectful of his space, especially around food. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who enjoys a quieter life, Billy might be the perfect fit for you.
