About Gem
*In foster care in Sydney*
Meet Gem - the little diamond who’s ready to shine in her forever home!
Sweet Gem has well and truly earned her name. This young mumma came into care with one baby of her own and lovingly took in two extra orphaned kittens without hesitation. She’s got a heart of gold and the gentlest nature to match :)
Now that her mothering days are behind her, Gem’s enjoying her own time to sparkle - stretching out for belly rubs, chasing a toy or two, and purring like a motor the moment your hand finds her. She even likes a good toe bean massage! She’ll greet you with a soft meow as soon as you walk in (even if you only popped out for a cuppa!) and will happily soak up pats and love whenever you’ve got them to give.
While she can be a little coy at first, once she’s decided you’re her person, she’ll melt right into you - a true gem through and through.
If you’re looking for a companion who’s as sweet, loyal and full of heart as they come, Gem’s your girl!
Like all Maggie's pets, Gem is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: I'm looking for an indoor-only home, but other than that, I think I'll thrive pretty much anywhere! Whether you're a busy family, a quiet couple or a solo star, I'll be happy - as long as you keep the affection and attention coming.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I enjoy my fair share of cat-naps, but also love a good play from time to time.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm endlessly sweet and patient with the smaller humans (aged 5 and 8) in my foster home :)
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Hmm - hard to say, really. I adored the kittens I looked after, but they're the only other pets I've known since arriving in foster care.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
