About Dougie - 6 Month Old Groodle
Meet Dougie!
Dougie is a gorgeous 6-month-old F1b Groodle (Poodle x Groodle) — affectionate, intelligent, and full of life.
Dougie loves to play and can often be found chasing after his favourite balls and toys — he’ll even drop them right back at your feet or toss them in the air to entertain himself! One of his favourite activities is chasing bubbles around the yard.
Dougie walks beautifully on lead, enjoys meeting friendly dogs and adults out and about, and would make a wonderful companion for a single person.
Dougie does have some sensitivities — he can be startled when woken suddenly and has shown some resource-guarding behaviours. Because of this, he’ll thrive best in a calm, adult-only home where he can feel safe and supported. He’s made good progress on his current veterinary plan, and with continued gentle, positive reinforcement training, he’ll keep building confidence and trust.
His owners are sadly rehoming Dougie because their home with young active children isn’t the ideal match for Dougie’s needs. He’s a truly special boy, and we’re looking for someone kind, patient, and understanding who can give him the calm, loving environment he deserves.
If you’re a single person looking for a bright, affectionate young dog who will reward your care with loyalty and laughter, Dougie might just be the perfect match for you!
Dougie is in case in Newcastle area, NSW. He is available to adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Maitland, Cessnock and Central Coast areas (no further as he will need a gradual transition with lots of visits to his new adopted home).
His adoption fee is $600. He is vaccinated, microchipped and treated for fleas, ticks and worms. He’s currently not desexed, as his vet has recommended waiting until he’s around 12-18 months old to support optimal bone and joint development (not included in adoption fee).
