About Melina
Melina is a sweet 3 year and 10-month-old Black Merle Pug with a heart full of love, a sprinkle of sass, and the most charmingly cheeky personality you could ever hope to meet.
Melina came into care from a breeder who has now downsized.
Melina weighs 12.6kgs and stands around 36 cm tall (when she’s not crouching in her adorable, bashful way), this bundle of joy will melt your heart in seconds with her soft eyes and even softer cuddles.
Melina is toilet trained and will happily go outside to do her lady business and incorporate some play in her outside time as well - Melina hasn't learnt a doggy door yet but her foster mum believes that she will master that pretty quickly - especially if a treat helps learn!
Melina isn’t a fan of crates, and she much prefers the comfort of a cozy couch or a soft bed near her people, where she can keep a watchful eye and be close to the ones she loves most.
Melina’s energy comes in delightful bursts, she’ll have short, silly spurts of playful zoomies before happily curling up for a long nap, often in a sunbeam or snuggled against her favorite human.
Melina’s generally quiet, though you might hear her little voice during playtime or when breakfast is being served, after all, a girl’s got to eat!
Melina's mornings are often filled with happy wiggles and joyful snorts that will make you laugh before you’ve even had your coffee.
Social by nature, Melina adores the company of other dogs, big or small. She thrives when she has a furry friend to play with and loves a good game of chasey, stealing toys with a cheeky grin and daring her mates to catch her.
She’s slowly discovering the fun of fetch and enjoys every bit of attention she gets from her fur friends.
Melina hasn't been tested with cats, but she also shown no interest in the family budgies, preferring to focus her energy on the people and dogs in her life.
Melina is a sweetheart with children, though she’s best suited to a home with older kids (over 8) who understand that she sometimes needs a little patience and gentle reassurance.
Melina can be a bit unsure at first and takes a moment to build her confidence, but once she feels safe and secure, she blossoms into a playful, affectionate girl with a big heart and an even bigger personality.
While walks aren’t really her thing just yet, the sight of a lead or harness is still a bit scary, she more than makes up for it with her loving nature and her goofy, heartwarming antics.
Melina’s happiest being near her people, whether she’s snoozing on the couch, rolling around on the floor, or simply following you from room to room with that adorable “Pug energy” and her trademark little grin.
With her beautiful merle smooth single coat, Melinda is low maintenance when it comes to grooming, leaving you with more time for cuddles, giggles, and sweet moments together.
Melina’s a sensitive soul who can be nervous with change, but each day she grows braver, funnier, and fuller of life.
Once you’ve earned her trust, you’ll be rewarded with endless affection, hilarious expressions, and the kind of unconditional love only a Pug can give.
Melina is the perfect blend of silly and sweet, a gentle girl with a cheeky spark, who will fill your home with warmth, laughter, and love.
