About Maggie
Prepare to fall head over heels for Maggie
Maggie is an incredibly placid girl, who lives for belly rubs, human company and is very much a Velcro dog.
She does seem to pick her favourite one person and will follow them around so we do think Maggie will need someone who isn’t out all day as it she likely wouldn’t cope alone for long periods of time.
You'll find her always by your side, eager for a cuddle or simply to be near. If you're looking for a lap warmer, a constant companion, or someone to share your quiet moments with, Maggie is your girl!
Although Maggie is around 3 years old, Maggie is just beginning her journey with formal training, So she will need someone to commit to her journey and show her what the outside world has to offer. We know this sweet girl will pick up new skills in no time
Since being in foster care in the village, she is learning basic commands, but she isn’t keen to use the doggie door at this stage.
She isn’t bothered by other dogs or birds but hasn’t met a cat.
While she's a learning doing her business outside (poos are always outdoors!), Maggie is still perfecting her indoor potty etiquette and does sometimes wee inside.
We want her new family to be aware of what Maggie needs so she can be her best self.
Maggie is a great sleeper and will go through the night without a problem.
If you think you are the perfect family for Maggie, please message us and tell us all about what you can offer her and about your family.
Maggie’s adoption fee is $850

Adoption details
At Village Tails, we strive to make the adoption process as seamless as possible. We understand that bringing a new pet into your home is a big decision that will enrich your life in countless ways. That’s why we’ve developed a clear, step-by-step guide to help you find your perfect match and provide a loving home for one of our precious animals. Our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way, from your initial interest to the joyful day you bring your new friend home.
How to Adopt: A Step-By-Step Guide:
1. Browse Our Selection: Visit our Animals page and use the menu to view the various pets we have available. Choose between cats and dogs to narrow your search.
2. Expression of Interest: Found a pet that captures your heart? Reach out to us for an Expression of Interest (EOI) form to initiate the process.
3. Patience is a Virtue: We meticulously review every EOI to ensure each animal goes to the right home. Thank you for your patience during this critical stage.
4. Meet Your Potential Pet: If your EOI is approved, we'll organise a Meet & Greet session. It’s a great opportunity for both you and the animal to see if it’s a perfect match.
5. Adoption Application & Home Review: If you're ready to move forward, you'll need to complete our adoption application and agree to a home review.
6. Review & Approval: Your application and home review will be assessed to guarantee a secure, loving environment for your potential pet.
7. Adoption Fee: Upon approval, you'll be required to pay the non-negotiable adoption fee. This fee directly supports our animal care efforts.
8. Welcome Home: Once the fee is processed, we'll coordinate the special day when you can bring your new pet home.
