Meet Tessa, a lovable Staffy mix who has a sweet demeanor and a heart full of affection, Tessa is on the lookout for a forever home where she can truly belong. Tessa’s ideal day includes snuggling up on the couch and getting plenty of cuddles—she’s a true cuddle enthusiast! Although she was returned to the shelter, Tessa is ready for a fresh start and eager to shower her new family with love. As a bigger, strong dog, Tessa will thrive in a dog-savvy household where her new family can provide the guidance and structure she needs. She has a protective streak and is known to guard fences with her distinctive bark, letting you know she’s on duty. Tessa does need some work with livestock, as she’s not comfortable around them, and she’s still learning the ropes with leash training. While she’s very interested in other dogs, she’s still figuring out her boundaries and would benefit from some structured training in this area. Despite these challenges, Tessa’s potential is boundless. With a bit of patience and the right training, she’s sure to blossom into a well-mannered and devoted companion.
