Barney and Wynstan

*In foster care in Erskineville, Sydney*

We’d love to say Barney and Wynstan are two wise old boys, but they seemingly share a single brain, and depending on the day either one might possess the majority of it. Extremely gentle and relaxed, little fazes them these days; not even the vacuum makes them stir!

Grey-and-white Barney seeks out human company a little more than his black-and-white brother. A cuddle session with Barney is never a static activity. He’ll roll over for a belly rub, seemingly forget why he’s lying down, walk away, and then flop over again. A very quirky boy :)

Wynstan enjoys lazing around and is usually content taking in the action as a casual observer. He appreciates the presence of his humans and is often napping in line-of-sight. He has a soft, cute meow, and after all these years his language is yet to be deciphered. He’ll do most of his yapping in or around the kitchen, seemingly forgetting he’s just eaten (or trying his luck). He does love his food!

Like all Maggie's pets, Barney and Wynstan are microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

OUR IDEAL HOME: We're very easy to please! We like a cushy place to nap and we're most happy to do this out in the open. (Barney will sometimes take a timeout somewhere hidden or dark.) For the most part, we just appreciate being around our humans as you potter about the house. We will seek some quiet if the energy becomes a little too high or loud, but we quickly warm to new faces.

OUR ENERGY LEVEL: At this stage in our career, we're total chillers - for the most part. Barney does still have a very playful side, and when his arch-nemesis The Laser comes out, watch him move like he’s young again! Wynstan is his biggest fan, usually from the sidelines.

OUR SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Although we've not lived with children, we think our gentle, easy-going temperament would suit equally gentle kids!

OUR SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Having lived most of our lives with four other siblings, we'd prefer to retire to a home without other pets. But we'd also do just fine in a home with one other low-key, non-dominant cat. Definitely no dogs though, please!
