About Archie - 4 Month Old Dachshund X
Meet Archie the 16 week old Dachshund X pup with the sweetest face and gorgeous rough coat. Archie is looking for forever home with a backyard to play in and a little dog bestie for company.
He is the ultimate lap dog who loves to be near (or on) his people. Archie is thriving on a fresh food diet and we’d like that to continue in his forever home.
Archie loves wrestles in the grass with doggy friends, playing tug of war with his foster family and following you from room to room.
Archie is learning to be ok on his own as this is a very gradual process, he will need continued consistent training for his separation anxiety and ongoing toilet training. That’s why we think a doggy sibling to show him the ropes is important.
Archie is learning his name, can sit and wait for food and proving to be a smart puppy, so exercise, training and enrichment will be the key to a fulfilled life for Archie.
Dachshunds are not an easy breed, but worth the effort with rewards paid in love and devotion.
Archie spent some time with a cat he wanted to play with. He has not been tested with pocket pets.
Kids must be over 8 as Archie is only 4kg and he will grow to be a small dog.
While he’s young he will need a human home often. He needs a secure backyard with no holes or gaps to keep him safe. A home with few stairs is probably best.
