About Hobbs
Introducing Hobbs!
Hobbs is a French Bulldog born 2nd October 2023.
Hobbs & his two Frenchie companions were taken into an impounding facility as strays and sadly no one came looking for them. They were transferred to us as the other facility has less kennel space than we do.
Since being at the facility, Hobbs has been an incredibly affectionate & sweet boy. He definitely has "physical touch" as one of his love languages and he'll do a little scootch over to you if you sit too far away from him. He's a funny little man who is desperate for a safe & loving home.
Hobbs has tested well with other dogs, both male & female. Depending on his doggy companion, he can be incredibly out-going and loves a wrestle, but he has met others that he was a little overwhelmed by & tried hiding behind the handler. We believe he would be suitable to live with other dogs, or be the spoilt only "child" at home. If you have a friendly dog, we would need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home. Alternately, Hobbs was brought in to us with another male Frenchie & a female Frenchie, who I'm sure would love to remain house buddies with.
Hobbs appears to be unfazed by cats & pocket pets. We believe that with a slow & controlled introduction he should be suitable to live with smaller animals.
Hobbs has shown no signs of separation anxiety or food aggression since being at the facility.
Hobbs has cherry eye which requires surgery to correct. This surgery is included with his adoption fee.
Hobbs' adoption fee is $1250 and includes his desexing, lifetime registration, vaccination and he is up to date with flea & worm treatment.

Hobbs is located in East Maitland.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
