About Hershey
Meet Our Chocolate-Themed Puppy Quartet!
Hershey, Polly Waffle, Cadbury, and Aero are four scrumptious 16-week-old Irish Setter X puppies (2 male, 2females) who are as sweet as their names suggest!
With rich chocolate coats and even richer personalities, these pups are ready to melt hearts and find their forever homes.
These delightful pups are:
Playful, affectionate, and full of sugary love
Eager to learn and be moulded into well-rounded, well-socialised, and well-mannered companions
Suited to homes with children aged 6+
Highly recommended for families with an existing dog, as they'll thrive with a canine role model to guide them in proper doggy etiquette.
With the right mix of family guidance, patience, and commitment to training, these pups will blossom into medium to large sized loyal, loving members of your household.
Meet & Greet Appointments
Expressions of Interest (EOIs) can be sent via email to BARC at:
barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au
Please include your best contact number in the email.
Appointments to meet the puppies will be scheduled from 1pm, Monday 13th October. BARC staff will be in touch to arrange your visit.
🐶 Adoption Priority
Families with an existing dog will be prioritised, as these pups will benefit immensely from having a furry mentor to show them the ropes.
"Every animal adopted from BARC comes with ongoing support from our dedicated team, plus a complimentary subscription to Petcademy - offering 24/7 behavioral guidance from expert trainers."

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
