Meet Janie, a beautiful girl with a heart as big as her love for people. This affectionate lady is all about connection. If you have hands for chest rubs and belly scratches, you are already her favourite person.

Janie is currently in foster care with a loving family, which means we know her personality well and can help find the right match for her. She can be met easily by submitting an adoption application, and we can arrange a meet and greet.

At her core, Janie is a social butterfly. While she bonds closely with her person, she really shines in a home where there is more than one human to share the love. A family environment would suit her beautifully, where there is always someone nearby for company, pats or a bit of fun.

She enjoys her playtime just as much as her cuddles. Fetch is one of her absolute favourites and the further you throw the ball, the better. She is generally low to medium energy but like many young dogs, she has her playful bursts and zoomies that will keep you smiling.

Janie loves her daily walks and does best on lead adventures. When off lead, she tends to look to other dogs for cues, so structured walks and outings suit her well. She has enjoyed regular dog park visits in the past and is very friendly with other dogs, making her a great companion for an existing canine friend.

She is currently used to spending time outdoors during the day, but what she truly wants is to be near her people. A home where she can enjoy both indoor and outdoor living would suit her best. She can handle some time alone, but she is happiest when she has companionship and inclusion in daily life.

She is gentle and patient, doing well with young children including a toddler, and would suit a home with kids who can share in her playful and affectionate nature. While she has not lived with cats, she does show interest in birds, so a cat-savvy introduction would be needed if applicable.

Janie is also a bit of a water lover, adding another fun layer to her personality.

This sweet girl is looking for a home where she can be part of the family, included, loved and given the balance of activity and affection she thrives on.

Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to Perth.
