Meet Omar – your quiet, gentle sweetheart!

Omar is a calm, affectionate boy who adores cuddles, belly rubs, and simply being close to his people. He’s wonderfully quiet — no barking at visitors and no reactivity toward other dogs. He brings a peaceful, loving presence wherever he goes.

When Omar arrived at the city pound, he was heartbreakingly deemed palliative due to a heart condition (pulmonic stenosis). But after a specialist assessment, it was confirmed that his condition is mild and unlikely to cause any future issues — fantastic news for this lovely boy!

During his time in the pound, Omar was prescribed anxiety medication to help him cope with that stressful environment. Now that he’s settled and thriving in foster care, he’s being gently weaned off them and doing beautifully.

Omar is a quick, observant learner — he’s even picked up good habits from his foster’s dog! He’s gentle with the resident cat, fully house-trained (he’s clever enough to use the cat flap!), and loves both his crate and curling up close for cuddles.

With his quiet nature, kind heart, and loving gaze, Omar is ready to bring calm and companionship to his forever home. ❤️
