About Lucy
Meet Lucy, an adorable Pomeranian-Chihuahua mix with a sweet and slightly cheeky personality! At just 2.4 kg, she may be small in stature, but her heart is full of love and companionship waiting to be shared. Lucy is on a journey to find a family that can nurture her youthful exuberance and help her blossom into a well-adjusted member of the household.
This outgoing little pup is known for her playful antics and loves exploring her surroundings. Though she can be a bit anxious initially, she quickly warms up and has shown remarkable progress in gaining confidence during her time with us. She’s particularly fond of dogs her size and didn't seem bothered when meeting the shelter cat. With her friendly disposition and zest for play, Lucy will make a lovely companion for families and other small dogs.
Lucy does need some training, especially when it comes to walking on a lead and learning basic commands. Ensuring her new family is engaged in her training will be key to her settling in comfortably. Given her slight anxiety, Lucy would do best in a home with children over the age of eight to ensure a more peaceful atmosphere. She thrives on attention and may jump up in excitement to greet you, so be prepared for some enthusiastic pawing!
Lucy would benefit from a family that can offer her plenty of love, patience, and understanding, particularly when she's left alone, as she sometimes cries. With time, stability, and your dedication, Lucy is bound to become a faithful companion, bringing joy and delight to her new home. If you’re ready to welcome an adorable, spirited pup like Lucy into your life, she's eager to meet you and start her next adventure!

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
