She should be started in a small, quiet area with access to any escape routes or hard-to-reach spots blocked off. Large, open spaces can overwhelm her, so it's important to give her time to settle before gradually allowing more freedom.
To help Eliza feel at ease, provide a variety of safe spaces throughout the home-scratch posts, cat trees, cardboard boxes, igloos, and access to shelves or dressers will give her places to hide, rest, and observe.
With time, Eliza will begin to relax and show her true personality. She's looking for a home where her need for space and gentle encouragement will be respected.
