About Chicko and Buddy
About us….
Chicko is an active little chihuahua, loves to do zoomies and rough and tumble with his mate Buddy. He walks well on a lead but is more into sniffing than distance.
Doesn't like to be on his own, would do well with any other dog who would like to play.
Responds to his name, not a fussy eater.
He is wearing a bell so we can keep track of him as he is likely to zoom from any direction..
Chicko with his 'bat's ears’ can hear a wrapper or his whispered name from a mile away. His fur is soft and warm, just what you need at the bottom of the bed. This is where he likes to sleep.
Buddy the Jack Russell is a genuine companion dog. On lead or off, will walk on left side. Loves to ride in the car, will settle down and go anywhere.
Joins in with gardening and household chores, has to know what is going on at all times.
Can be left on his own. Is a real people person.
Has a cheeky side, and will actually smile when he is having fun.
Responds to his name.
Not a real toy dog but likes soft blankies.
Medical notes
Medical notes for Chicko and Buddy
2-year-old Chicko and 3 year old Buddy are desexed and microchipped. They are up-to-date with vaccinations as well as flea, tick, intestinal worm and heartworm prevention.
Buddy and Chicko have recently had dental scale and polished and needed no extractions. Being small breed dogs though, we would recommend at least an annual dental check with your vet.
Buddy had a hip injury after being kicked by a cow as a puppy. He had specialist surgery in June 2025, a femoral head ostectomy was performed to repair the hip. The surgery was successful, but it did take Buddy quite some time to use his leg post op, most likely out of habit as he was used to having a sore leg. He went to physiotherapy, which helped, and he may benefit from future physio treatments, swimming etc. We would also recommend regular vet checks for Buddy to keep an eye on any arthritic changes that may develop as he ages.
