About Roy Valenti
TO APPLY FOR ADOPTION PLEASE SEND IN APPLICATION FORM AVAILABLE BELOW:
https://www.victoriandogrescue.org.au/adopt/
PLEASE READ: SADLY WE HAVE FOUND ROY HAS AN ANAL SAC TUMOUR AND THE EXPECTED LONGEVITY AFTER SURGERY IS SIX MONTHS TO TWO YEARS. WE ARE ORGANISING A CT SCAN AND SURGERY. HE STILL NEEDS A LOVING HOME.
Meet Roy: Your New Favorite Couch Companion!
Are you looking for a chill, cuddly, and perfectly-behaved little gentleman to grace your home? Then prepare to fall in love with Roy, a delightful Moodle×Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix with a heart as beautiful as his temperament!
Roy's Vibe
Roy is the definition of relaxed. He lives for the indoors and will make himself right at home—especially if your couch back needs a decorative, furry accent (it's his favourite cat-like habit!). When the day is done, you'll find this sweet boy snuggled up inside on the couch for a peaceful night's sleep.
This happy-go-lucky fellow loves to be pampered! Grooming, bathing, and cuddling are high on his list of favourite things to do. He's completely house-trained and knows how to be a quiet companion—he only barks to let you know someone is at the door, and he zips it right up when asked
A Social Butterfly
Roy is a true socialite! He's great with other dogs, described as friendly, social, and playful—he even gets along wonderfully with his (sometimes rowdier) big brother Tetley! He's also perfectly fine with cats and has lived peacefully with his domestic shorthair sister, Milly
Best of all, this little man is perfect with children. He is completely unbothered by young kids.
Fun Facts & Habits
Favourite Treat: Did you know Roy loves to eat carrots? Talk about a healthy snacker!
Traveler Status: He hasn't had many opportunities to travel in a car, and he is absolutely fine in the limited, short trips that he has had, i.e. to the groomers.
Dinner Manners: Roy will growl if his older brother Tetley tries to steal his food, but he has no issue with humans touching his bowl.
Home Alone: As the only dog in a new home, he will be fine.
The Perfect Home For Roy
Roy is looking for a home where he can be an inside dog and get all the love he deserves. He would thrive with someone who has more time to spend with him. He's very chill and doesn't need lots of exercise, making him a great fit for a more laid-back lifestyle, perhaps even an older person looking for a sweet, low-key friend.
While he gets super excited when a walk starts and his recall isn't his greatest strength, he is very good with other dogs while on or off-leash. He's not a runner but might try to zip out of an open gate, though he tends to return easily. He will thrive living in a home who can give him the time that he deserves.
Ready to add this loving, happy, and relaxed boy to your family? Apply to meet Roy today!

a dog comes to us on heartworm treatment this is continued.

Adoption details
We are a community fostercare network, not a shelter, and our dogs and cats are cared for in private homes. Note that we are very careful where we rehome our dogs and cats and we have an intensive process. If you want a quick turnaround we are not the group for you. If you seem like a good match for the dog of your choice we will organise a telephone chat, a meet and greet and a property check. We offer free assistance for six weeks for any issues, a lifetime takeback policy with full refund of the adoption fee, and will always be available to offer advice.
We care for our dogs and cats and we want you to as well. We know that genuine applicants have no trouble with this process and understand that if we refuse you a dog or cat, it is because you are not the best match for that pet.
Our commitment to the dogs and cats in our care is total and we treat each one as if we are passing on a family pet. This may not suit you so we point out that there are equally great dogs and cats available in pounds, shelters and with other rescue groups.
If you are still interested, please download an application form from our website:

The application form must be emailed to us:

Please note that we do not take/make telephone calls prior to receiving an application.
Commonly asked questions and their answers are provided when you email us. Unfortunately we usually will not have time to reply to enquiries in more detail and will give priority to completed applications over enquiries. Priority will also be given to typed applications which are easier for us to read and to copy relevant parts.
We look forward to receiving your application.
