About Polly
Meet Polly, the sweetest little Dachshund with a heart full of potential. At 18 months old, Polly is navigating her world with understandable caution, revealing her gentle nature in moments of quiet confidence. Shy and anxious, she's looking for a patient and understanding home where she can take all the time she needs to slowly come out of her shell.
Polly would thrive best in a calm and serene environment, where she can gain trust and feel safe. She may initially need the comfort of a crate as her personal sanctuary, a space where she can relax until she feels ready to interact more freely. Despite her reserved demeanor, Polly has shown that once she feels secure, she can be quite the charmer with those she trusts.
Though initially nervous on a lead, Polly may need gentle encouragement to build her confidence. Her submissive nature around other dogs indicates that she would get along well with calm canine friends, while her indifference to cats adds noted versatility to her potential homes. You'll need to give Polly some time to warm up, but once she does, you'll find she's a delightful little companion eager to form a bond.
If your household can offer Polly the tranquility she craves and the patient love she deserves, you might be the perfect match for this tender-hearted pup. With love and care, Polly will blossom into a loyal, loving companion who will be forever grateful for her new family.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
