ABOUT
Meet Albert – The Purring Superstar!
Albert and his sister Grace came into care earlier this year in heartbreaking condition — underweight, crawling with parasites, and both born with serious eye defects. On top of that, poor Albert was missing most of his tail and had injuries to his flank, likely from an attack by another animal.
After thorough vet checks, it was confirmed that Albert was suffering from microphthalmia and eyelid agenesis in both eyes as well as other genetic issues resulting in total blindless. Albert has since had a double enucleation (removal of both eyes), but this brave little boy doesn’t let that slow him down one bit!
Albert has learned to navigate the world by purring constantly and using echoes — like a tiny feline sonar. He does everything a sighted cat does: he plays, climbs, cuddles, and explores with pure confidence and joy. His blindness truly doesn’t hold him back at all. The only effect he has with being blind is that he is noise sensitive and can startle a little with loud noises or sudden movements.
Albert’s foster family describes him as a superstar who radiates happiness. He’s endlessly affectionate, always purring, and loves to seek out his humans for a good snuggle. He also adores playing with the other cats and kittens in his foster home, so his ideal forever home would include another friendly feline companion to share in his adventures and naps.
This stunning boy is already growing a magnificent mane that will only become more glorious as he matures — he’s as beautiful inside as he is out.
