About Poppy
This gorgeous girl has been waiting patiently for her next chapter — a place where she can once again feel like she truly belongs.
Poppy came back into care through no fault of her own after her beloved dad sadly passed away earlier this year. She was confused and grieving, unsure where she fit in the world anymore. But with time, love, and a little help from her rescue friends, Poppy’s sparkle has returned — and what a beautiful light she shines.
She’s a chatty, cheeky social butterfly who loves being around people and dogs alike. Water play and swimming are high on her list of favourite things, and she absolutely thrives when she has another dog companion to share her adventures with.
Poppy is crate trained, toilet trained, and knows all her basic manners. She’s gentle on lead, though her happiest moments are when she’s free to zoom and explore alongside her canine friends.
Her ideal home will have another friendly dog, a family who includes her in their daily life, and a comfy spot to snooze after playtime. Older kids would be best, only because Poppy’s love and enthusiasm might accidentally bowl over the littlest ones!
At nearly two years old, she’s got the perfect balance of youthful energy and loyal companionship. She’s ready to love hard, play joyfully, and remind her new family that second chances really do exist.
