About Kovu
Kovu
Roughly 5 to 6 month old tabby male neutered cat!
Microchip number 953010007746571
Desexed 11/09/25
Flead, wormed, microchipped, desexed, vaccinated and registered.
Here is what Kovu's current rescue mum has to say about him -
I have owned kovu for roughly 2 months, i know very little on his history apart from the fact he did not have a home and was a stray. He has had some form of human interaction prior to me getting him. I dont believe he has been hurt or abused, but i dont think he has ever been loved by someone (which is sad!). He is very sweet, loves a good pat and can be smoochy, however he does not particularly like being picked up and cuddled, this may change as he gets older and settles into his new home however.
He gets along well with my other resident cat, and has seen my dog (blue heeler) but is scared of him.
I would say he is a bit shy and timid around people he does not know at the start until he gets to know you, he is always under my feet when I'm walking around the house and is not afraid of me at all so he will settle into a new home quite easily with some patience and love!
Kovu will go well in a quiet family home maybe with older children who can be gentle around him. The reason i have owned him for a short time was because my intentions at the start was to never keep him. He was homeless, skinny and hungry when i came across him and i was not going to leave him the way i found him, he is now ready to find his forever home.
Kovu is now an INDOOR ONLY cat for life!
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
Thank you for your interest in a rescue cat! They can make the most wonderful friends and family members.
Our rescue cats have varied histories and stories and as such they each require a different home environment, we ask prospective adopters a series of questions aimed at making the perfect match so please dont be offended when asked questions. We do not adopt to a first in first serve basis and only adopt to the most suitable home possible. If you are outside Ballarat we ask that you make time to have a 30 minute video-chat with us and the kitty you are interested in so we can get to know you a little better and you can see the kitty in its home environment before coming up to Ballarat to adopt, if you are local then we hold a meet and greet at the foster home of the kitty. We only offer video chats and meet and greets to the most suitable homes.
All of our cats at Cat Lovers Ballarat are rehomed as strictly INDOOR ONLY cats and we ask that all prospective adopters only apply if they are capable and comfortable with this.
Please have patience with us as we go through all applications and make our decisions to move onto phase 2 and offer meet and greets, this can take days and sometimes a week to go through, you will be contacted whether you are successful or not.
Thank you again for your interest in one of our rescue cats!
