Rocket is quick to adjust to his environment, but slow to warm up to humans. Boundary setting is a skill he has mastered, and he will use his claws to enforce them if necessary - but with enough patience and many treats, you’ll win him over in no time.

While with his foster carer, he’s made amazing progress in developing his confidence. While still a little skittish around loud noises and unexpected things, pats are now an accepted (though not quite yet appreciated) part of his daily routine, and he’s the first out of bed when he hears his foster carer getting up each morning. If you're lucky he'll even sleep on the bed with you!

It will take some time for him to start opening up to you, but it’s worth it once you get to know him.

Something to note: Rocket has to bury his food once he’s finished. It doesn’t matter if the dish is empty. The pawing at the ground will eventually stop, but If you’re feeling generous (or sound sensitive), just put down a piece of fabric for him to cover it with.

‼️ While he is not shy about protecting his personal space, he’s not subtle either. It won’t take long for you to recognise when he’s had enough and we think he's pretty easy to read.
