About Penny
Meet Penny, an exuberant Jack Russell Terrier with a zest for life that's positively contagious. At approximately 5 years old, Penny is the perfect match for an active family with children aged five and above, where she can be the center of playful attention alongside another canine companion. Penny has a 3/4 tail which happily wags throughout the day.
Penny is bursting with high energy, and her wagging tail and happy disposition will bring joy to your household. She's a lively runner, though she tends to pull a bit on the lead; her enthusiasm gets the better of her when exploring the great outdoors. While her recall skills are still a work in progress due to her zest for life, her joyful spirit more than makes up for it.
This clever little escape artist will require a home with a secure, high fence to keep her adventures confined to safe spaces. Previous experience with Jack Russells would be beneficial as her intelligence is extraordinary, and she is an agile climber.
Penny is a friendly pup who adores the company of other dogs, though she can be a little shy at first before warming up. With a consistent routine and positive reinforcement, Penny will gain confidence with her canine friends in no time.
Penny is a people lover who sometimes can’t help but jump for pats, so accommodating her need for affection will secure her spot as your new furry soulmate. If you have the energy, love, and secure backyard for our lovely Penny, she can’t wait to join your family for new adventures.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
