About Ruby
Hi, I’m Ruby, and I just turned one! I am a clever and nimble (and scruffy) kelpie cross girl.
I love being with my humans, going on walks or runs on the oval, and relaxing on the couch for cuddles. I like working for my food and think lick mats and puzzles are so much fun! I am learning to like dog toys too and am starting to chase a ball or frisbee. I play well with other dogs - once introduced properly though, as I can be a bit shy at first.
I am food driven, have good house manners and sleep in my crate at night without a fuss. I know how to walk on a lead and have a good recall, and will need a home who will continue my training as I am only young and love to learn new things. My foster parents think I am very sweet natured and smart but can be a bit timid in new situations. I have had lots of new and fun experiences in foster care and would benefit from a family who have the time and expertise to continue to boost my confidence.
I would be happy as an only dog, as long as I get plenty of activity and playdates. I would suit a couple or a family with a quieter lifestyle as I have a good off switch. A family with older children would be okay too, as long as they can read my body language to understand when I am a bit shy and need a break. Don’t worry, I love younger kids and am very gentle, sometimes they are just a bit too unpredictable for my liking. I have adapted to city living alright, but I would love more space to roam.
I have not been tested with cats, pocket pets or livestock.

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
