I’m a strong, independent snoozer during the day, but when I’m awake, I’ll be your purr-fect companion. Whether it’s relaxing on the couch while you watch TV or curling up paw-sitively content at your feet at night, I love being close by.

I’ve got a chill, easy-going nature and carry myself like the mature gentleman I am. Sometimes I can be a little shy or easily startled, but once I feel safe, I’m calm, steady, and affectionate.

My routine is paw-some: morning pets and breakfast, followed by luxurious naps, a bit of playful fun in the afternoon, dinner time (of course!), and winding down with bedtime cuddles.

I’m also a vocal boy who’ll happily tell you what I want - especially when it comes to breakfast and dinner. With me, you’ll get the best mix of independence, maturity, and companionship, wrapped up in one claw-some cat.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I appreciate a calm and peaceful environment, so if I share my home with other cats, I’d prefer they be as mature and chill as I am. I might be open to a canine companion too - just as long as we take it slow with introductions.

Children are absolutely fine, especially those 7 years and up, since that usually means even more attention (and cuddles!) for me. With the right companions, I’ll be a purr-fectly content and easy-going housemate.

Likes / Dislikes
I absolutely love safe outdoor time where I can bask in the sunshine, breathe in fresh air, and watch the world go by. I prefer to do my business outside, but will happily use a litter tray if needed until I can get out. If you have an enclosed cat run or a secure outdoor space for me to lounge in, that would be truly purr-fect!

I also adore sharing a human-sized bed with my favorite person—it’s one of my paw-some ways to feel close and cozy.

I can be a little skeptical of other cats at first, but with time, patience, and if they’re as calm and chill as me, we might just become friends.

I’m not a fan of loud noises like slamming doors, storms, or clattering sounds. When things get noisy, I simply retreat to my safe place until the coast is clear, then resurface once the storm has passed. I’m a sensitive soul who appreciates a peaceful, predictable environment.

My PURR-fect home would be with you - a retiree, a laid-back professional, or a family with slightly older children - where there’s either someone home a lot for company or a couple of other chill cats to keep me company. I’d thrive in a mostly quiet home with a secure outdoor area or patio that I can access freely to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air. You’d love to share affection and playtime with me now and again, but also appreciate that I’m an independent cat who doesn’t need to be on top of you constantly. In return, I’ll bring calm companionship, paw-some cuddles, and purr-fect love.

Medical Notes: Shadow previously had a urethral blockage (stranguria) which was caused by a buildup of struvite urolithiasis in the bladder. He underwent surgery to remove the blockage and has recovered well. He requires a special diet of prescription urinary food (Hills C/D Stress wet food) and needs to be encouraged to drink water. He may or may not get another urinary blockage in future which will require urgent medical attention. A quiet, low stress home will help reduce the chance of further urinary blockages.
