Say hello to Aster, our cheeky, compact and irresistibly charming 4-year-old French Bulldog! She's the kind of dog who'll make you smile every single day, from her playful wiggles when she knows it's time for a walk, to her content little snores once she's curled up by your side.

Aster absolutely loves spending time with her people. A stroll around the neighbourhood or a gentle adventure together is her idea of the perfect day. She thrives on human companionship and wants to be part of whatever you're doing, though she can feel a little unsettled when left alone, so she'll need a home where her people are around more often than not.

Life has thrown Aster a few challenges, and she's still learning to navigate the world with confidence. She can be a bit conflicted when being handled by unfamiliar people, and she's cautious around new dogs. Her past experiences also suggest she may show some fear around dogs (including those she already knows), so we're looking for a home where Aster can truly relax as the only pet. With time, gentle guidance and understanding, she'll reward your patience with endless affection and loyalty.

Because Aster can find new or busy environments a little overwhelming, enrichment will be an important part of her daily routine. She'll benefit greatly from puzzle feeders, treat-dispensing toys, and Kongs to help keep her mind busy and her stress levels low. These activities not only give her something fun to do but also help her build confidence and independence while keeping her brilliant little brain engaged.

At the moment, Aster is showing some stress in the shelter environment, so we're eager to get her into a loving home as soon as possible. To help her make this transition smoothly, we're looking for a Foster-to-Adopt home. This means Aster will first go into foster care, with full support from our teams as she settles in and adjusts. Once she's happy and thriving, her adoption can be finalised.
