Meet the amazing Lily!

She is a 3-month-old Dachshund puppy with a big heart and a nose for adventure! Born with a condition called microphthalmia, Lily is completely blind and will never gain her vision, but don't think for a second that slows her down. She's busy learning to navigate the world in her own special way, one sniff at a time. Her nose is already a superstar, especially when there are treats nearby, and she's slowly picking up her recall too (food is a great motivator, after all).

Lily is a sweet, affectionate little pup who loves other animals, dogs, cats, you name it - though she does best with gentle souls who won't overwhelm her. Her very best friend is another blind dog, and watching them play and explore together is nothing short of magical. She also adores children and happily snuggles up on the couch with her foster family for cozy naps. At the moment, she's a bit clingy - but can you blame her? She's just a baby, figuring things out and needs someone who can gently guide her toward confidence and independence.

She is smart as a whip, Lily has already figured out where the couch steps are and is slowly getting used to crate training. She's playful and curious, always keen to chew a toy or chase a scent, but her absolute favourite thing in the world is running free in a big, open space - somewhere she can stretch her little, teeny legs and explore safely without bumping into too many things.

Raising a blind puppy comes with its challenges, but Lily makes every moment worthwhile. Her resilience, affection, and goofy puppy antics are enough to melt anyone's heart. She's looking for a home with an experienced person who has the time, patience, and love to help her blossom into the amazing dog she's meant to be. A calm canine companion would be a bonus, and a safe outdoor space where she can run and sniff to her heart's content would be her dream come true.

Lily is currently staying in a loving foster home as part of our Adoption Ambassador Program, so she'll remain safe and comfortable while she waits for her perfect match. She may not see the world like we do, but she feels it all - and she's ready to share her world with someone truly special.
