About Poppy
Meet Poppy – or Pops, Popsicle, Poppet, Miss Poppington, and even Poppasaurus, depending on her current mood and the level of mischief she’s brewing! This gorgeous Ridgeback mix is a super sweet and cheeky girl with an adventurous heart simply bursting with love.
Poppy is a true social butterfly, thriving on interaction. She absolutely adores kids, revelling in their playful energy and gentle attention. She’s also a fantastic friend to other animals, happily engaging in epic wrestle-offs with the big gentle great dane in her foster home and even making besties with the resident cats.
When she's not making new friends, you'll find Pops happily indulging in all things puppy: gleefully shredding soft toys (her specialty!), 'collecting' your thongs for a spirited game of keep-away, and generally sprinkling her unique brand of adorable mischief wherever she goes.
While she's a master of fun, Poppy is also a clever cookie, currently working hard on her manners. She's acing her lead training, learning to sit like a pro, understanding 'stay,' and grasping the all-important 'no' (especially when it comes to those tempting thongs!). She’s eager to learn and will thrive with an owner committed to positive reinforcement.
Like any discerning princess, Poppy does have a few opinions: baths, the dreaded vacuum cleaner, and vet visits aren't her favourite pastimes. But don't worry, a patient and loving approach will have her conquering these little fears in no time.
She might be a tiny bit shy with new grown-ups at first, but give her a moment, a gentle voice, and maybe a tasty treat, and her tail will be wagging, ready for belly rubs and playtime. She warms up incredibly quickly, eager to share her boundless affection and playful spirit.
Poppy is searching for a family who understands the joys (and occasional chaos!) of a playful, smart, and affectionate Ridgeback mix puppy. She dreams of a home filled with laughter, adventures, and plenty of cuddles, where her curious mind and loving spirit can truly flourish.
If you're ready to welcome a 'Poppasaurus' into your life and embark on a wonderful journey of love and laughter, enquire about Poppy today! She's ready to steal your heart.

Adoption details
At Village Tails, we strive to make the adoption process as seamless as possible. We understand that bringing a new pet into your home is a big decision that will enrich your life in countless ways. That’s why we’ve developed a clear, step-by-step guide to help you find your perfect match and provide a loving home for one of our precious animals. Our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way, from your initial interest to the joyful day you bring your new friend home.
How to Adopt: A Step-By-Step Guide:
1. Browse Our Selection: Visit our Animals page and use the menu to view the various pets we have available. Choose between cats and dogs to narrow your search.
2. Expression of Interest: Found a pet that captures your heart? Reach out to us for an Expression of Interest (EOI) form to initiate the process.
3. Patience is a Virtue: We meticulously review every EOI to ensure each animal goes to the right home. Thank you for your patience during this critical stage.
4. Meet Your Potential Pet: If your EOI is approved, we'll organise a Meet & Greet session. It’s a great opportunity for both you and the animal to see if it’s a perfect match.
5. Adoption Application & Home Review: If you're ready to move forward, you'll need to complete our adoption application and agree to a home review.
6. Review & Approval: Your application and home review will be assessed to guarantee a secure, loving environment for your potential pet.
7. Adoption Fee: Upon approval, you'll be required to pay the non-negotiable adoption fee. This fee directly supports our animal care efforts.
8. Welcome Home: Once the fee is processed, we'll coordinate the special day when you can bring your new pet home.
