Hello, I’m Rex and I am looking for a very special adopter.

As you can see, I am a handsome guy, but I want you to know a bit more about me so that you can really think about whether we would be a good match.

I came into care with 5 other dogs after my living situation became too bad. The people we lived with were elderly and I heard the humans describing them as “hoarders”.
Both my humans ended up in hospital at the same time and with one of them having advanced dementia and the other being very sick, we were signed over to rescue.

I am only a small boy and I can be a bit scared sometimes, so I need a home where my new humans understand my past. It will take some time before I trust you, but the good news is that I am very good with other dogs, and I am fine with cats too.

I am a typical Chihuahua, I try to show you how brave I am, but I am really just looking for someone to love me.

Due to my previous life, I was not house trained and although I am working hard to be the best boy I can be, sometimes the urge to lift my leg gets the best of me and I need reminding to go outside. Having a routine, especially whilst I am settling in, will make things easier.

I would dearly love to have a dog friend in my new home or even be adopted with one of the dogs I have previously lived with. Their names are Benny, Esme’ and Patsy if you want to check them out!

My story is sad, but I can’t wait to have my second chance.
