About Russell
Introducing Russell!
Russell is a Jack Russell x born approx 6th June 2022.
Russell was brought in to us as an unmicrochipped stray, however after some investigating we found Russell's owner who was overseas on holiday. After speaking with them it became very clear that they had no interest in reclaiming him.
Since being at the facility, Russell has been a very affectionate & playful boy. While he's not food motivated, he's obsessed with squeaky toys so he will need a steady supply at his disposal.. for his disposal!
Russell is your typical energetic & excitable Jack Russell. He loves sniffing every blade of grass and trotting around like he rules the world. Russell would love a home where he can go on daily adventures with plenty of sniffing freedom.
Unfortunately Russell isn't great with other dogs, so he will need to be the only dog at home.
Russell has shown signs of prey drive towards smaller animals, so he will need a home with no pocket pets like chickens & rabbits.
Russell has shown no signs of separation anxiety or food aggression since being at the facility.
Russell's adoption fee is $600 and includes his desexing, lifetime registration, vaccination and he is up to date with flea & worm treatment.

Russell is located in East Maitland.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
