About Jessie
Introducing Jessie!
Jessie is a Jack Russell born 25th July 2018.
Jessie was brought in to us as a stray but when we contacted the microchipped owner we found out she was in supported living & could no longer care for her.
Since being at the facility, Jessie has been incredibly affectionate towards staff & volunteers. While she's not overly treat motivated, she's very eager to please her humans. She would definitely love to be a lap dog, as she tries to climb on your lap even while you're still standing.
Jessie has started to become quite stressed in her kennel, so she doesn't always show her best side when people walk through the facility. Once she's out of the kennels & in a quieter location, her true nature starts to shine though.
Although Jessie is 7, she's still your typical energetic & excitable Jack Russell. She would love a home where she can go on daily adventures as she's very inquisitive and loves exploring.
Unfortunately Jessie isn't great with other dogs, so she will need to be the only dog at home.
Jessie has shown signs of prey drive towards smaller animals, so she we need a home with no pocket pets like chickens & rabbits.
Jessie has shown no signs of separation anxiety or food aggression since being at the facility.
Jessie's adoption fee is $550 and includes her desexing, lifetime registration, vaccination and she is up to date with her flea & worm treatment.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
