About kole
What’s not to adore about Kole, the goofy, gentle, and playful pup with his oversized paws, head, and heart!
Our sweet lovable boy is a mix of Labrador x Heeler x Dane with those gorgeous big loving eyes . floppy ears and legs like a clumsy baby giraffe lol
He thrives on being part of a family, enjoying life indoors and staying close to his human companions
In his foster home, Kole has been living with two adults, two teenagers, and his four-legged foster sibling. He is a people-lover, warmly greeting visitors without any hesitation. Kole follows his humans around the house, always eager to supervise any kitchen activities.
Kole loves playing with his foster sister, chasing her with toys, and going for walks. He enjoys soft toys, balls, and anything that squeaks! Being part of a family has been wonderful for him, and he enthusiastically welcomes everyone home after their day at work or school.
Kole is a quick learner and has mastered “sit” (especially when treats are involved), walking on a lead, and going to the toilet outside. He needs a family willing to invest time and energy into ongoing formal training, which is made easier by his treat motivation. Kole loves daily walks and is curious about the world, though he can zigzag on the lead due to all the exciting sights and smells. He may get overly excited meeting other dogs, so further training is needed, but he is easily redirected. As a large puppy, he enjoys a good walk each day but can tire quickly.
Kole is affectionate and friendly, loving attention, cuddles, and affection. He gets along well with other dogs and humans. While not a fan of car rides, he doesn’t experience car sickness but may whine. Continued short trips to fun places should help him enjoy car rides
Kole enjoys showers and loves his food, having two meals a day—dry food in the morning and a mix of dry food with chicken or prime roll for dinner. If living with another dog, he may need to be fed separately to prevent him from eating others’ food. Kole is curious about what his humans eat and hopes for a taste. He sleeps in his foster parents’ bedroom or with one of the teens, and enjoys afternoon naps on the couch. Sometimes, he forgets his size and may roll off the couch or trip over his paws. Lol In foster care, Kole has excelled at toilet training and can go overnight. His forever family will need to take him out regularly as he adjusts to his new home and provide patience, consistency, and reassurance.
Kole has been both an indoor and outdoor dog, with access to the house while his humans are away. He hasn’t shown any significant destructive behavior, but be cautious with phone chargers left on the floor. He needs toys and stimulation when alone. At night, Kole loves snuggling on the couch with his humans.
IDEAL HOME Kole seeks a home with experience in handling large dogs and ideally another playful female dog of similar size and energy. Elderly dogs may not be suitable for a young pup of his size. His new home should be committed to ongoing training, as he will grow i
A yard ideal home is one where he will be welcomed indoors, provided with consistent routines, and continued training for his lead and social interaction.
, an active family, and dog-savvy kids who can handle a large, playful puppy are ideal. Apartment living is not suitable for Kole.
