Meet Rocky - an 18-month-old Australian Cattle Dog who has already lived through more than any dog ever should.

Rocky hasn't had the easiest start to life. Coming from a home where he witnessed and experienced things no dog should have to, he carries some of that past with him. Understandably, this has left him feeling nervous and unsure when meeting new people - especially men - and adjusting to new environments can be overwhelming. Handling is also something he's still learning to feel comfortable with.

But here's the beautiful part: Rocky is a fighter with a gentle heart. Despite everything, he has shown us that he wants to trust. Each day in our care, he grows braver. His tail wags a little more, his eyes soften, and his confidence blossoms, bit by bit. It's a privilege to see the real Rocky shining through.

Rocky will need a special adopter - someone patient, gentle, and understanding, who can give him the time and space to heal and learn that the world can be safe and kind. He would be happiest in an adults-only home, preferably with a female carer who can be his safe person. While Rocky could possibly live with another calm, steady dog who can help show him the ropes, for now he needs a quiet and reassuring environment where he can continue to build trust.
