About Patrick
🐾 Meet Patrick – A Sweet, Gentle Soul 🐾
Patrick is a soft-hearted boy with so much love to give. He’s a little shy at first, but once he feels safe, his true personality shines — sweet, extremely affectionate, and full of love. Patrick adores gentle pats, being brushed, and spending time close to his humans. He’s curious and friendly, and he’ll often call out to find his person, just to be near you and soak up some affection. 💛
Patrick’s rescue story is a special one — he was found as an adult stray when rescuers were actually trying to catch a kitten! Once in care, he received the works: desexed, health-checked, and given lots of TLC. Patrick tested positive for FIV (feline immunodeficiency virus), but don’t worry — FIV-positive cats can live long, happy, healthy lives with a little extra care and a calm, stress-free home.
If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion who will fill your days with warmth and companionship, Patrick might just be the one. 🐾💛
Medical notes
Patrick is FIV-positive, which means his immune system is a bit weaker than average. This doesn't affect his life expectancy, and many FIV+ cats live long, healthy lives. He just needs a low-stress, indoor-only home, regular vet checkups, and a good diet to stay well. FIV isn't contagious to people or dogs, and it’s only passed to other cats through deep bite wounds so he can safely live with other friendly, non-aggressive cats.
