Hi, I’m Axle, your future cuddle buddy and snack inspector.

I’m a 3-year-old dog with a big heart, a soft soul, and a bit of extra fluff (okay, maybe more than a bit…). I’m playful, gentle, cute, and always ready for a cuddle on the couch or a nap in the sunshine.

I’m also a smart little cookie, I know how to sit, drop, and stay! Treats help, of course, and I’m on the low-fat kind these days. You see, I’m currently on a bit of a weight loss journey, and I’ll need your help with healthy meals and nice long walks. You need to resist my puppy dog eyes when I’m begging for a taste of your food!

Now, I’ll be honest, I’m not the bravest boy at night. The dark spooks me a little, so I sleep better with a night light on. And sometimes, I bark at things that aren’t really there… just making sure we’re safe, you know? One of my most prized possessions is my emotional support teddy bear. I carry him around, chew on him a bit, and drool all over him with love. We come as a team.

What I’m really looking for is a calm, loving home where I can feel safe, stay on track with my health goals, and snuggle my way into your heart. If you’ve got space in your life (and on your couch) for a soft, sweet, slightly squishy best friend — I think we’re going to get along just fine.

Microchipped as a Jack Russell x Pug, Axle clearly didn’t get the memo on size — this big, lovable boy weighs in at a solid 38kg! While his exact breed mix is a bit of a mystery, what we do know is that he’s 100% heart and personality.

Axle is currently on a gentle weight-loss journey to get fit and fabulous for summer. With daily walks, healthy meals, and a bit of encouragement, he’s already making great progress and would love a home that can help him stay on track with his health goals.
