About Bonnie
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE CANNOT FLY OUR ANIMALS WITHIN WA OR INTERSTATE
**Before applying, please remember that adopting a puppy into your home is a huge commitment, and very demanding of your time. Puppies require daily exercise, positive and varied socialisation, grooming, training and playtime. When applying, please consider your work hours, holidays, and how busy your personal life is. Puppies will need someone who is home for most of the day with regular focused input, especially in those first six months after adoption **
NAME: Bonnie
BEFORE SAFE ESPERANCE: Came to SAFE Esperance as an owner surrender with her siblings.
BREED: Mixed breed (Mum possibly has some Mastiff - mum is medium sized - father not confirmed)
**************************************************************************
ASSETS: Happy, affectionate, friendly, confident, sassy and playful. She has a huge personality.
FAVOURITE THINGS: Bonnie loves to be around people for cuddles, plays and pats. She’s in a foster home with her brothers and sisters and they all love to play together. She is a typical puppy with bursts of energy where she plays for a while then settles down for a snuggle and snooze before waking up and doing it all over again!
ENDEARING FEATURES: Bonnie loves to play and has the most gorgeous nature.
OTHER ANIMALS: Being a young puppy, she will get on well with other friendly dogs after gentle, supervised introductions. She could live with a dog-savvy, confident cat, again after gentle introduction
GENERAL INFO: Bonnie will need training for pretty much everything being so young. Housetraining is underway but she still has some way to go to master it. Expect accidents while she’s settling into her new home and routine! She rarely barks and is quite a confident girl. She’ll benefit greatly from puppy school and ongoing classes into adulthood where she can learn and mix with other dogs, and this is a commitment we will expect from her new owner. We expect these pups to be medium sized but there are no guarantees.
ESSENTIALS for Bonnie
** an active, loving home where someone is there for most of the day, essential in the first six months after adoption
** a home where she is treated as part of the family and is allowed to be inside or out as she needs and to sleep inside at night
** a decent sized, well fenced garden where she can run, play, sniff and explore in safety
** attendance at puppy school and continued training into adulthood for her to learn and grow confidence – essential
** continued positive, gentle exposure and socialisation
Bonnie will have bursts of energy while a pup and we envisage will have medium energy as an adult dog if she has good mental stimulation and her exercise needs are met.
Bonnie could live with dog-savvy gentle children over 6 years of age, depending on experience and always with supervision, who will play and interact with her but know when to give her space.
If Bonnie sounds like the perfect fit for your family, please send an enquiry and we’ll be in touch soon.
