About Khadra
Baby Khadra has no rescue story… because they were actually a whoops baby from our sanctuary flock! 😳🫢
Whoops babies happen when we miss an egg that needs replacing, or a pair of pigeons have laid a rare third egg. Unfortunately it does happen sometimes, but Khadra is a happy mistake.
Khadra is an owl x Egyptian swift pigeon, and carries the gorgeous andalusian gene (the colour of their feathers) from their swift background. Being raised in capacity, Khadra has been handled a lot and thus is very comfortable with people. We have accidentally taught Khadra to fly to your hand whenever it is open!
Khadra is available for pre adoption, with adoption taking place 5-6 weeks from now to ensure they are fully ready and fledged.
Khadra is too young to be IDed for gender, but a DNA test can be sent for $30.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.

Adoption details
Thank you for considering adopting from FFPR!
Once you have expressed interest in a bird, we ask that you formally apply to adopt via our adoption form (this can be done ahead of time) https://forms.gle/cjP9TZJcKAgkze6A6
From there we will work with the adopter to find a bird that suits their lifestyle, and organise a meet and greet at our shelter. We offer continious support post-adoption and are always available for help or questions.
For any questions in regards to adoption, please reach out to adoptions@frecklesfellowship.org
