About Smokey
Smokey is the best looking guy you'll ever meet. He's the sort of cat that people look at and go WOW!
But really he's quite modest. He enjoys the quiet life, and would love a home where he's the only cat that people are admiring. He's an affectionate and loving cat on his terms. He likes to come to you, rather than you coming to him, but he loves curling up with you on the couch or in bed and having a pat.
He has lived in a home with a dog and kids, but would probably prefer a home with neither of those if he could pick. His best home would be with one or two adults that he can love and trust and hang out with.
When there's noone around he's perfectly happy taking himself off to a cupboard or a quiet space for a nap. He doesn't need people around him all day.
If you'd like to spend the next decade and a bit staring at Smokey's magnificence, then get in touch!

Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A property check will take place via a video. Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals will be rehomed desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
