NOTE: You are unable to meet Max until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Max in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I LOVE other dogs and would love to go to a home with one but if not I MUST be allowed inside and be taken out on regular walks and adventures to stop me from being lonely and developing bad habits out of boredom.
• I appeared to be good with cats at the shelter but my history with them is unknown so a slow introduction is a must.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• I have previously lived with kids so would be happy to live with kids again as long as they are comfortable around bigger dogs as I am a tall boy
• I am VERY sweet and affectionate, I would love a family that allow me inside to snuggle on the lounge with them of an evening.


Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car

My best features:
• Very playful
• Wiggle butt
• food motivated
• Gentle & placid
• I can sit, shake hands
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• Well mannered
• Love to snooze on the couch

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this
