About Comet - 1 Year Old Maltese X Poodle
Meet Comet, a 1-year-old Maltese x Poodle with a heart of gold. Affectionate, gentle, and happiest when he’s by your side, Comet will follow you from room to room, curl up on the couch, or join you on all of life’s little adventures.
He’s toilet trained, kid friendly, and dog friendly. He currently lives with a large resident dog and a 3-year-old toddler, and he adores them both. Out and about, he’s well-mannered on the lead, happily greeting other dogs and laying quietly by your feet at the café.
Comet can be a little shy when first meeting strangers and tends to bond quicker with women, but with patience he warms up beautifully to everyone. Like many small dogs, he’ll bark to let you know when someone is at the door, but otherwise he’s a calm and easy companion.
This clever boy is also eager to please, which makes training a breeze. He already knows how to sit and shake paw, and he’ll happily learn new tricks with you.
He’d be just as happy in a home with another friendly dog or as the only dog in the house. If left alone, he’s best suited to shorter periods of time with some toys or enrichment to keep him busy. What he loves most is human company, so a family that includes him in their everyday life will make him the happiest boy.
Comet isn’t super high energy. One walk a day and he’s perfectly content to spend the rest of his time lazing around with you. He doesn’t have a huge appetite and is a little on the skinny side, so a family who can give him some extra TLC and help him fill out would be ideal.
Whether he’s playing fetch in the yard, strolling next to the pram, learning new tricks, or snoozing while you work, Comet is just happy to be included. He will make the most wonderful family dog and is ready to find a forever home where he’ll be loved as much as he loves you. 💛
Comet is in care in Point Clare, NSW. His adoption fee is $1100 and he is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated for fleas, ticks and worms.

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
