About Digby
Meet the gorgeous Digby, a bright-eyed bundle of charisma with the perfect mix of Cavalier King Charles, Boston Terrier, and Poodle charm.
At the young age of 1 year and 10 months old and a trim 11.7kgs, this beautiful boy is all heart and boundless enthusiasm.
Digby came into the rescue as a private surrender.
Digby is the sort of dog who makes every day feel like a small celebration, greeting life with a wag of his fluffy, statement-making tail and a sparkle in his eye.
Digby is toilet-trained and has mastered the art of leaping through a doggy door with athletic grace.
At night Digby happily snoozes in his crate, but during the day he follows the sunshine, napping on the couch or stretching out his foster family's big deck.
Digby can stay home alone for a few hours, though he’d much rather be where the fun is, or he might dream up a bit of cheeky mischief if left too long without company.
When it’s time to walk, Digby shows pure excitement and will joyfully zigzag to sniff every scent and greet the world.
Although his foster mum keeps him on a short lead and a few treats that keep him focused, and while his recall still needs polish, his delight in the adventure makes every stroll a pleasure.
Sociable and playful, Digby is happiest when he’s part of the action. He gets along beautifully with other dogs of similar size when introduced slowly, and he lives harmoniously with a resident cat, even sharing the couch and a snack or two.
Caged birds spark his curiosity until the novelty wears off, and he’s fine around chooks when on a lead, though free-range feathered friends are a bit too tempting.
Digby’s exuberance and love of a good chase mean he’s best suited to a family with teenagers or adults rather than very young children, as small toys on the floor are simply too irresistible for this lively boy and he can get a bit boisterous when excited.
Digby has character through and through. He “talks” to you when he wants something, flashes a grin that melts hearts, and sports a magnificent natural tail wag that always steals the show.
Keep in mind Digby will need regular grooming but does enjoy the pampering with ease.
Digby loves café outings, where he behaves like a perfect gentleman at the table and charms both people and other pups.
At home Digby's a cuddle enthusiast, stretching out beside you with his head resting sweetly on your leg.
Bath time is a breeze; he adores the hair dryer and he’s easy to brush and trim.
Intelligent and eager to please, Digby already knows sit, drop, stay, shake paw and even “give me five,” and he’s learning to wait patiently at mealtimes.
Digby responds beautifully to praise and treats, thrives on positive reinforcement, and learns quickly when gently guided.
The only thing he asks is a thoughtful first greeting: a pat under the chin rather than a hand reaching for his head until he knows you’re a friend. Once you’re in his circle of trust, he’s yours to love from head to wagging tail.
Digby loves his food and currently enjoys Royal Canin biscuits, cooked chicken with brown rice or sweet potato, and a few crunchy dried chicken treats.
Digby is the type of dog, that if you give him plenty of companionship and adventure, Digby will reward you with endless affection and laughter.
Digby would be the perfect dog for an active family ready to share long walks, sunny naps, and all the joy a clever, fun-loving dog can bring.
A family who are home a lot and will include Digby in the weekly adventures.
If you’re looking for a dog who radiates warmth, a dash of cheek, and a whole lot of love, Digby is waiting to make every day brighter.

Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email.
