Duggie

Meet Duggie a big beautiful Mastiff x with a big heart and an even bigger love for life. Not long ago, I was rescued from the pound where I was facing euthanasia because of overcrowding. Since then, I’ve been lucky enough to know what it feels like to be loved, and now I’m searching for my forever home.

A lovely family took me in recently and gave me the nickname Duggy. They adored me during the month I was with them — we had so many cuddles and adventures. But as much as they cared for me, I decided I didn’t want to be best mates with their other boy dog. So, I’m looking for a home where I can be the only dog but I might get along with a gentle girl dog if we click. (I’ve had doggy girlfriends before!).

Here are some of my best qualities:

✨ My Manners

I’m house trained and a very good boy inside at night.

I know how to use a doggy door.

I can sit on command and sometimes I sit all on my own to show you I’m a good boy (and that I’d really like one of your tasty snacks).

I’m very gentle when taking treats from your hand.

I come when called and I walk nicely on lead most of the time.

I’ve been learning wait, down, and off — and I’m making great progress!

✨ My Lifestyle

I love my Kong, licky mat, toys, and soft fluffy bed — and I never destroy my belongings.

I enjoy sunbaking and napping in the backyard but also love snuggles on the couch with my humans.

I don’t dig holes or try to escape.

Once I settle in, I’m not needy — I’m actually quite independent. I’m happy to spend some time alone, but I do need enrichment, sniffy walks, and companionship to keep me from getting bored.

✨ My Ideal Home

I absolutely love kids and I’m very gentle with them, but because of my size, it’s best if my new home has teenagers rather than little ones (I wouldn’t want to accidentally knock them over).

I’d prefer to be your one-and-only dog.
