About Maverick 🐴 1.5yo, Staffy x Rotti(On Trial 8/11/25
Maverick, 18 month old Staffy x Rotti, medium to large size, weighs 27kgs. He is:
🐾 Affectionate and Playful – He loves belly rubs and ear scratches and just being with you. He enjoys walks, toys and games.
🐕 Dog Friendly - He can be an only dog or live with other dogs.
🚸 Child friendly - He is good with children, but because of his size we recommend children over around 8 years old.
🚗 Outings – He loves care rides to anywhere you’re going.
🏡 Needs to be allowed indoors to enjoy family life – He is house trained and loves to be with his people, something he didn’t get much of in his previous life.
🐶 Maverick is a large-medium dog or a medium-large dog. He has a large dog’s head on a slim, medium sized body. He has adorable tiger strips and a soft expression.
Maverick was surrendered to Dog Rescue Newcastle through no fault of his own because his owners could no longer look after four dogs.
Maverick’s adoption fee is $500. He is microchipped, registered, desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas, ticks and worms. He is available for adoption in NSW and ACT. He is in foster care in Maitland, NSW (west of Newcastle).

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:
https://tinyurl.com/drnadopt
(2) If the questionnaire is approved, we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) Next, we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home or at a nearby park.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay the adoption fee*, sign the NSW change of ownership form and our DRN Adoption Agreement and take your new family member home! The two week trial period begins on the day of adoption.
*We prefer payment by funds transfer and don't accept cash or personal
cheques.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
