About Zac
Zac Requires the following in his new home:
- Another desexed playful dog living in the home, not senior or puppy.
- His people home more often than not.
- A securely fenced yard.
- Continued training, exposure and socialisation.
- Patient owners.
- To have the option of being inside when his people are home and to sleep inside overnight.
Zac is the sweetest, most lovable cuddle bear, he is not just looking for his perfect forever home but a true best mate. He is a fun playful puppy, loves a good game of tug of war and is very eager and quick to learn.
Due to Zac being unwell for a few months not long after he arrived in our care (see medical notes) he has missed some socialisation opportunities. He will need some time to adjust to the big outside world and get used to things like, loud noises, traffic, and moving bikes. When he is out of the yard he has a tendency to bark at other dogs and some people not aggressively but from excitement and being unsure of things, he is getting better with the more exposure he has.
Zac has spent time in his foster carers home with other dogs and cats. He enjoys the company of dogs and is good with cats.
Zac is eager to please and has learnt sit, drop and walking on a lead, he is pretty much house trained but can have the odd accident especially overnight. He has started basic foundations training but he will need patience and on-going training and more socialisation to become his best doggy self.
Zac is used to having someone home a lot and can be nervous when left on his own. He would like his people home often as well as a desexed friendly playful dog for a companion. He also enjoys enrichment activities like a kong and doggy puzzles to keep him entertained when you're not around.
Zac has become accustomed to sleeping on his human’s bed and being inside with his people most of the time. He just loves being with you so much. Zac will need a home with good fencing to keep him safe, he has been known to learn how to open the doors and get out of his crate. When he was younger he chewed his way through the flywire door and even had a chew on a door to be with his people. Although he has stopped this in his carer's home, there is a chance that he may relapse for a short time in his new home with the stress of moving.
Zac's ideal home will be with a family that is home more often than not, are loving and patient and will include him in their lives indoor and out. They will need to be willing to spend time training and socialising him. He would benefit from a professional trainer and or attending group training sessions. He is best suited to children over 12 years old and needs an adult doggy sibling to play with and learn from.
Zac is super snuggly and would make the best companion for someone looking for their next furry best friend.

Medical notes
Zac became very unwell soon after arrival and needed to go to an emergency vet where he was given a blood transfusion. The following months were spent doing multiple tests to determine the cause of his illness. After being diagnosed with a couple of different types of bacteria, he was finally treated for those and is now a normal, healthy pup ready for adoption.
