Meet Milton,
Milton is a bright, happy boy who’s always up for a bit of fun. He’s curious, social, and loves exploring his surroundings, but he’s also happy to be scooped up for a cuddle when the mood strikes. Milton is already learning new skills and proudly knows how to sit - a big achievement for a young pup! Like all puppies, he’ll need plenty of ongoing training and consistency to help him grow into a well-mannered companion. With his playful energy, outgoing nature, and eagerness to learn, Milton is bound to bring lots of joy and laughter to his forever family.
Dog-friendly? Yes! Milton is open to meeting other dogs - ongoing socialisation training will be a great addition to his social skills, too.
Cat-friendly? Unknown - we can't really test in this environment, so it’s up to his new family to introduce him carefully.
Kid-friendly? Absolutely! He’s open to meeting children of all ages!
Considerations:
Milton would love a yard, with high secure fencing, so that he can play in it safely. He dreams of a home with toys - lots of toys! As well as daily exercise/walks to keep his body physically fit & his mind mentally fit. Treat/food puzzles are a great tool and great way to keep active puppy minds engaged!
Milton is starting to explore his surrounds & is growing in confidence each & every day. However, it would be a wise move to invest in a crate & start crate training. This type of training is not only a highly valuable skill to have but is a great skill for any dog to learn and know.
Milton should be enrolled into puppy training classes as soon as he is adopted. These classes & training will set him up for life and will allow him to learn social skills & etiquette, as well as define his manners. These classes & training will also teach him how to appropriately interact with other dogs as well as other animals & people. These training classes will also assist his new owner, as they can both learn new skills together.
If you've got other animals at home, that's okay, just make sure that they have a gradual & supervised introduction - preferably over a few days - to ensure that they have the best chance of becoming friends for life.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
