About Gus - 11 Year Old Jack Russell X
At eleven years young, Gus is a gorgeous white terrier mix who is looking for his partner in retirement. His favourite spot is right next to you on the couch or your daily activities.
His adorable scruffy coat is easy to maintain and he has soft caramel ears that will make you melt. He enjoys his walks, and is a dream on the lead so would make an ideal walking partner for someone who'd love some company on their daily trot – but he won’t eat your sofa if you skip a day...
Gus has proved to get along with people of all ages and dogs of all sizes. He patiently plays dress-ups with kids and happily greets every other walker on the street. He is a relaxed traveler in a car and even on a cargo bike, taking in the smells while venturing further than his legs could take him.
He is quiet and well mannered, but his politeness may occasionally mean that you need to read his mind about his needs to go out. He is an indoors boy, so a doggy door or regular potty breaks is recommended. He is a quick learner for his age and if you let him out and tell him to “do a wee”, he will. He knows the off-limit rooms of the house and sits to get his meal.
While Gus loves to be with you all the time, he is totally cool when you leave the house without him. He would be an ideal companion for retired people, but would also happily observe the busy life of a family and take part in all adventures.
Gus has no known medical / health issues. He is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with treatments for fleas and worms. He is currently in foster care at Belmont North, NSW and ready to move into his forever home. His adoption fee is $400.
