About Obi
URGENT FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME NEEDED
💙 OBI - 2 year old male American Bulldog - VIC
Meet Obi! The big-hearted couch companion looking for his person
If you’re after a loyal shadow and snuggle buddy, Obi might just be your guy! This big-hearted goofball adores people and would happily spend his days curled up on the couch with his favourite human, catching up on Netflix.
Obi’s an energetic boy who loves a good game of tug (he appreciates the occasional win!) and never says no to chasing a ball – any ball, anytime. When playtime is done, he’s just as happy to take himself off to his crate for a nap.
This clever boy knows his basics – sit, stay, down, go-to-crate – and is food-motivated, making him a dream to train for someone willing to keep building his skills.
At home, Obi is a loyal companion who loves being close to his people, whether that’s joining you for a car ride or just following you from room to room. He’s a gentle soul, but with his size and enthusiasm, a bit of care is needed around small kids – he sometimes forgets just how big he is!
Obi is looking for a home where he can be the only pet, as he’s still unsure about cats and other dogs. He’s not a café-hopping kind of guy but does enjoy quiet walks at off-peak times and will happily soak up the sunshine (or splash in the rain if he’s got his raincoat on).
The best part? Obi is calm and content when left alone – no chewed shoes or destroyed pillows here!
Obi is available for foster or adoption to a suitable home in the Melbourne / Geelong / Mornington areas. If you can offer Obi a safe place to land – whether short-term foster or forever home – he’ll repay you with loyalty, cuddles, and endless smiles.

Applicants will be assessed in terms of best suitability for the dog. A meet & greet and yard inspection are essential parts of the screening process.
The first 2 weeks for every adoption is a trial period to ensure that both the dog and family are a good match. And once everyone is happy the dog's microchip will be changed across to the new family.
